(a) DECLARATION.--I, T. W. Bruce, of Motonau, do hereby solemnly declare that the Sheep, 1,200 in number, marked —, now being depastured by me at the Hurunui, Amuri District, have not within three months last past had applied to any of them any reputed scab-destroying preparation, nor been mixed with any sheep infected with scab or catarrh; and I make this solemn declaration, conscientiously believing the same to be true.

(b) DECLARATION.--I, Stephen Nosworthy, of St Leonard’s, do hereby solemnly declare that the Sheep, 7,500 in number, marked D., now being depastured by me at St Leonard’s, Amuri District, have not within three months last past had applied to any of them any reputed scab-destroying preparation, nor been mixed with any Sheep infected with scab or catarrh; and I make this solemn declaration, conscientiously believing the same to be true.

(c) DECLARATION.--I, Charles McAlpine, of Christchurch, do hereby solemnly declare that the Sheep, 3,000 in number, marked R. L., now being depastured by me at St. Leonard’s, Amuri District, have not within three months last past had applied to any of them any reputed scab-destroying preparation, nor been mixed with any Sheep infected with scab or catarrh; and I make this solemn declaration, conscientiously believing the same to be true.

(d) DECLARATION.--I, Thomas Ellis, of Ashley Gorge, on the Ashley, do hereby solemnly declare that I have made a complete muster of all the Sheep in my charge, and that my Sheep branded —, being 6,000 in number, now being at Ashley Gorge, have not within two months last past had applied to any of them any reputed scab-destroying preparation, nor within two months been mixed with any Sheep infected with scab or catarrh; and I make this solemn declaration, conscientiously believing the same to be true.

(e) DECLARATION.--I, John Innes, of Mount Brown, Waipara, do hereby solemnly declare that I have made a complete muster of all the Sheep in my charge, and that my Sheep branded —, being 8,500 in number, now being at Mount Brown, have not within two months last past had applied to any of them any reputed scab-destroying preparation, nor within two months been mixed with any Sheep infected with scab or catarrh; and I make this solemn declaration, conscientiously believing the same to be true.

(f) DECLARATION.--I, T. F. Groom, of Dunedin, Otago, do hereby solemnly declare that the Sheep, 3,000 in number, marked R. T., now being depastured by me at the Hurunui, Nelson Province, have not within the three months last past had applied to any of them any reputed scab-destroying preparation, nor been mixed with any Sheep infected with scab or catarrh; and I make this solemn declaration, conscientiously believing the same to be true.

(g) DECLARATION.--I, William Forbes, of Culverden, Nelson Province, do hereby solemnly declare that the Sheep, four (Rams) in number, unbranded, being depastured by me at the Hurunui, Amuri District, have not within three months last past had applied to any of them any reputed scab-destroying preparation, nor been mixed with any Sheep infected with scab or catarrh; and I make this solemn declaration, conscientiously believing the same to be true.

Declared before me at Hustle’s, Hurunui, this 12th day of March, 1864.--H. RAMSAY SCARVELL, Inspector of Sheep.
(h) DECLARATION.--I, H. E. Reader, of Teviotdale, Waipara, do hereby solemnly declare that I have made a complete muster of all the Sheep in my charge, and that my Sheep branded —, being 17,000 in number, now being at Teviotdale, have not within two months last past had applied to any of them any reputed scab-destroying preparation, nor within two months been mixed with any Sheep infected with scab or catarrh; and I make this solemn declaration, conscientiously believing the same to be true.

Parlby, of the Rakaia, do hereby solemnly declare that the Sheep, 1,044 in number, marked —, now being depastured by me at the Hurunui, have not within three months last past had applied to any of them any reputed scab-destroying preparation, nor been mixed with any Sheep infected with scab or catarrh; and I make this solemn declaration, conscientiously believing the same to be true.

(k) DECLARATION.--I, Frank Pitt, of Rookeby, do hereby solemnly declare that I have made a complete muster of all the Sheep in my charge, and that my Sheep branded —, being 14,000 in number, now being at Rookeby, have not within two months last past had applied to any of them any reputed scab-destroying preparation, nor within two months been mixed with any Sheep infected with scab or catarrh; and I make this solemn declaration, conscientiously believing the same to be true.
