the objects of which, are the erection of baths, to be used in such manner as the Directors of the Company from time to time determine. THE Seventeenth day of March, 1864, at a sitting of the Court under this Act, specially appointed for hearing the said Petition, upon the application of Mr. Slater, of Counsel for Messrs. Fox & Thompson, and Mr. Arthur Kelly Thompson, Creditors of the said Petitioners, and upon reading an order made herein on the Nineteenth day of February last past, and an order made herein on the Twenty-sixth day of February last past, and upon reading an affidavit of William Fisher filed yesterday to prove the publication in the Provincial Gazette, and in a local newspaper of notice of the appointment by the Court of this day of hearing, fourteen days before such day of hearing, and upon reading a deed of assignment, conveyance, and release bearing date this Seventeenth day of March instant, executed by all the Creditors specified in the Schedule annexed to the said Petition, and also by the said Debtors, and conveying and assigning all the real and personal Estate of the said Debtors to Charles Barrett as Attorney for the said Messrs. Fox & Thompson and Arthur Kelly Thompson such
Creditors as aforesaid, and after hearing Mr. Travers, of Counsel for the said Petitioners, and by consent of all Creditors present, this Court doth hereby order that the Petition herein shall be forthwith dismissed, and the ad interim order of sequestration and protection herein made on the said Nineteenth day of February last past be discharged.

This Eleventh day of March, 1864.
UPON the application of Mr. Slater of Counsel for the said Petitioner Richard Bowen, after reading the said Petition purporting to be signed by the said Petitioner such Debtor as aforesaid, and to be concurred in by William McLimont, a Creditor to the extent of not less than fifty pounds in the whole, and also certain Schedules annexed, and therewith filed on the Tenth day of March, pursuant to the said Act, this Court being satisfied of the truth of the matters contained in the said Petition, doth hereby grant an ad interim order of sequestration of the estate and effects of the said Richard Bowen; and doth direct that the estate and effects of the said Richard Bowen shall be taken and held by Henry Seager, of Christchurch, printer, as Receiver under the said Act, hereby appointed by the Court, subject to such further Order of the Court as may be made under or in pursuance of the provisions of this Act. And this Court doth hereby appoint Wednesday, the Eighteenth day of May next, at eleven o’clock in the forenoon, for the hearing of such Petition and the proofs of debts and claims of creditors, at the Court House, Christchurch, aforesaid: And the Court doth also further order and grant an ad interim order of protection to protect the person and estate of the said Richard Bowen from arrest, execution, or legal process until further orders of this Court.
