*DECLARATION.—I, J. W. M. Cox, for John Scott Caverhill, of Hawkswood, do hereby solemnly declare that the sheep, 2775 in number, marked JSC, now being depastured by me on the north bank of the Hurunui, in the Nelson Province, have not within three months last past had applied to any of them any reputed scab-destroying preparation, nor been mixed with any sheep infected with scab or catarrh, and I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true.

CERTIFICATE OF INSPECTOR.—I, Philip Baker Boulton, Inspector of Sheep, hereby certify that I have carefully examined 2775 sheep, branded JSC, the property of J. S. Caverhill, at the Hurunui, and that I find such sheep entirely free from scab or catarrh.

Given under my hand, at Hastie’s, this 3rd day of April, 1863.

*DECLARATION.—I, George Rutherford of Amuri, do hereby solemnly declare that the sheep, 1000 in number, marked H, now being depastured by me on the North bank of the Hurunui, in the Nelson Province, have not within three months last past had applied to any of them any reputed scab-destroying preparation, nor been mixed with any sheep infected with scab or catarrh, and I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true.

CERTIFICATE OF INSPECTOR.—I, Philip Baker Boulton, Inspector of Sheep, hereby certify that I have carefully examined 1000 sheep, branded H, the property of G. Rutherford, now being depastured at the Hurunui, and that I find such sheep entirely free from scab or catarrh.

Given under my hand, at Hastie’s, this 4th day of April, 1863.
