DECLARATION

I, John R. Mitchell of Christchurch, do hereby solemnly declare that the sheep, 5800 in number, marked X R, now being depastured by me on the North bank of the Hurunui, in the Nelson Province, have not within three months last past had applied to any of them any reputed scab-destroying preparation, nor been mixed with any sheep infected with scab or catarrh, and I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true.

CERTIFICATE OF INSPECTOR

I, Philip Baker Boulton, Inspector of Sheep, hereby certify that I have carefully examined 5800 sheep, branded X R, the property of J. R. Mitchell, now being depastured on the North bank of the Hurunui, and that I find such sheep entirely free from scab or catarrh.

Given under my hand, at Hastie’s, this 8th day of February, 1863.

DECLARATION

I, James Meldrum of Balmoral, do hereby solemnly declare that the sheep, 376 in number, marked ML (conjoined) 3, now being depastured by me on the North bank of the Hurunui, in the Nelson Province, have not within three months last past had applied to any of them any reputed scab-destroying preparation, nor been mixed with any sheep infected with scab or catarrh, and I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true.

CERTIFICATE OF INSPECTOR

I, Philip Baker Boulton, Inspector of Sheep, hereby certify that I have carefully examined 376 sheep, branded ML (conjoined) 3, the property of James Meldrum, now being depastured on the North bank of the Hurunui, and that I find such sheep entirely free from scab or catarrh.

Given under my hand, at Hastie’s, this 9th day of February, 1863.

DECLARATION

I, William Balfour, for Benjamin M. Moorhouse of Shepherd’s Bush, do hereby solemnly declare that my sheep branded M, being 7500 in number, now being at Shepherd’s Bush, have not within three months been subjected to any dressing for the cure of the scab, nor within three months been mixed with any sheep infected with scab or catarrh, and I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true.

Declared before me, at Shepherd’s Bush, this 19th day of February, 1863.

CERTIFICATE OF INSPECTOR

I, Philip Baker Boulton, Inspector of Sheep, hereby certify that I have carefully examined 7500 sheep, branded M, the property of B. M. Moorhouse, now being depastured at Shepherd’s Bush, and that I find such sheep entirely free from scab or catarrh.

Given under my hand at Shepherd’s Bush, this 19th day of February, 1863.

DECLARATION

I, Barwise Metcalfe, Overseer of Takipo, do hereby solemnly declare that I have made a complete muster of all the sheep in my charge, and that my sheep branded MP (conjoined), being 3370 in number, now being at Irishman Creek, have not within two months and a half been subjected to any dressing for the cure of the scab, nor within two months and a half been mixed with any sheep infected with scab or catarrh, and I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true.

BARWISE METCALFE.

Declared before me, at Irishman Creek, this 25th day of February, 1863.

CERTIFICATE OF INSPECTOR

I, Philip Baker Boulton, Inspector of Sheep, hereby certify that I have carefully examined 3370 sheep, branded MP (conjoined), the property of T. W. Hall, now being depastured in the Mackenzie Country, and that I find such sheep entirely free from scab or catarrh.

Given under my hand at Irishman Creek, this 25th day of February, 1863.
