PURSUANT to the provisions of the “Auctioneer’s Ordinance, Session III., No. 3,” I hereby give notice that the undermentioned person has taken out an Auctioneers’ License for the term ending 30th June, 1864 :

PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it is enacted by the “Dog Nuisance Ordinance, Session XVII., No. 3,” and the “Dog Nuisance Amendment Ordinance, 1862,” that the Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury shall from time to time by proclamation appoint certain places for the Registration of Dogs, and, by the 3rd clause of the first recited Ordinance, may authorize certain persons to demand the fee of ten shillings for such registration. Now therefore I, Samuel Bealey, Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, by virtue of the powers in me vested, do hereby proclaim and declare that the following places shall be places at which dogs may be registered, viz. :
At the Police Station, Heathcote Valley.
At the Police Station, Arowenua.
And that the persons duly authorized to perform the duties contained in the 3rd clause of the said first recited Ordinance at the above-mentioned places, shall be the Officers in charge for the time being at the respective stations.
Given under my hand, at Christchurch, this eighteenth day of September, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-three.

SALE OF TOWN AND RURAL LANDS.

Christchurch, 16th September, 1863.
HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that he has fixed Monday, the second day of November, 1863, at the hour of Noon, at a sitting of the Waste Land Board, in the Land Office, at Christchurch, as the time and place when a Sale by Auction of town and rural lands shall take place in accordance with clause 24 and clause 35 of the Waste Land Regulations, subject to the usual conditions of sale, and in conformity with the Regulations for the disposal, sale, letting, and occupation of the waste land of the Crown, now in force within the Province of Canterbury.
Applications will be received by the Waste Land Board on and up to Monday, the 19th of October, 1863.
A schedule of the sections of land to be offered will be published at least ten days before the day of sale, in accordance with clause 29 of the Waste Land Regulations.

I, SAMUEL BEALEY, Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, in pursuance of the powers vested in me by the 19th clause of the Waste Land Regulations in force within the said Province, do hereby, upon the recommendation of the Provincial Council, make the following reserves for the undermentioned purposes, viz. :
No. 279, in red.—31 acres in the Ashley district, bounded on the north-east by sections 3,194 and 3,883; on the north-west, by 3,194, the Terrace Road, and sections 5,388 and 3,231; on the south-west by 5,388 and a line in continuation of the south-western boundary of section 3,231; for the purposes of the Diversion of North Road.
No. 280, in red.—1,000 acres, bounded on the north by the Native Reserves at the mouth of the Grey for a distance of a mile, and on the west by the sea for about a mile and a half, and back to the extent of 1,000 acres, for purposes of a township.
No. 281, in red.—640 acres, situate on the north bank of the Teramakau, on the West Coast, being a block of land having two miles frontage to the Teramakau, and extending back half a mile, the western boundary being about three miles and a half from the sea in a direct line, near the Ohono Creek; for purposes of a township.
