THE following Bills, passed by the Provincial Council, have, in conformity with the Constitution Act, been assented to this day by His Honor the Superintendent:—

  • The Kaiapoi Bridge Tolls Bill.
  • The Waimakariri Bridge Bill.
  • The Superintendent’s Salary Bill.
  • The Provincial Auditor’s and Deputy-Auditor’s Salaries Bill.
  • The Board of Education Bill.
  • The Public House Bill.
  • The Railway Tolls Bill.
  • The Road Diversion Bill.
  • The Cattle Driving Bill.

  • Mr. Francis Calvert Wilson,

  • Mr. William Thompson,
    to be Assistant Surveyors; appointments to date from 1st July, 1863.

  • Mr. Malcolm Fraser,
    to be an Assistant Surveyor; appointment to date from 19th August, 1863.
