NOTICE.

CELEBRATION OF THE MARRIAGE OF HIS ROYAL HIGHNESS THE PRINCE OF WALES.

Provincial Secretary's Office,
Christchurch, 18th June, 1863.

HIS Honor the Superintendent directs that the Celebration of the Marriage of His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales shall take place on the 9th day of July next, except in the case of the town of Lyttelton, where, at the special request of the townspeople, the day is fixed for the 7th of July.

SHIP “METROPOLIS.”

Lyttelton, 16th June, 1863.

THE Commissioners are perfectly satisfied with the condition of the ship “Metropolis.” All departments were kept clean; the passengers in good health. Only one death, that of an aged female, had occurred during the voyage.

The Master and Officers of the ship and the Medical Officers are entitled to their gratuities.
