IMMIGRATION COMMISSION.
BARQUE “MERSEY.”
The Commissioners report that they visited and inspected the barque “Mersey,” were well satisfied with the general condition of the Immigrants and with the arrangements of the vessel, with the exception of the Hospital in the married people’s compartment, which was too small for its purposes, and not ventilated nor lighted.
They further surmised and suggested to have the master performed their duties carefully. The matron to have been attentive, and to have kept the single women in good order.
