  1. A printed or fairly-written copy of the
    conditions to be kept at all times posted up in some conspicuous place in the tap-room, in the public and in the private sitting-rooms, for the information of travellers.

  2. A tariff of charges to be kept posted up in like manner.

  3. To provide a Visitors’ Book, which shall be kept in a conspicuous part of the house, and to be open to visitors and lodgers to insert any remark on the accommodation and attendance. The book to be open at all times to the inspection of magistrates or the police, and to be sent to the Clerk of the Bench a week before the annual licensing meeting, for the purpose of being produced at that meeting.

  4. To keep a copy of the Public-house Ordinance in the house.

  2. Not less than six beds for travellers in not less than four separate bed-rooms.

YOUNG, JOHN ALBERT, Arowenua.
"Young’s Accommodation House."

  1. All the premises to be kept in good repair. To provide in his house, besides the tap-room or room answering as such, one private sitting-room.

  2. Not less than twelve beds for travellers in not less than five separate bed-rooms.

  3. To provide a shed sufficiently weather-tight, and fit for the accommodation of at least six horses.

4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, same as William Stranks’.

  1. To keep at all times a safe ferry-boat (punt) in good working order, and ready for conveyance of passengers across the Arowhenua at all reasonable times between the hours of sunrise and sunset. The fare for passengers to be 6d. each when the rope can be used for working the punt, and one shilling when the rope cannot be used, and for every horse 2s. Officers of the Supreme Court, magistrates, and police constables on duty and prisoners to be ferried free of charge; and to keep a printed or fairly-written copy of the charges posted in some conspicuous place.

The remaining conditions, Nos. 14 and following, the same as William Stranks’.

  1. All the premises to be kept in good repair. To provide in his house, besides the tap-room or room answering as such, one public sitting-room.

  2. Not less than ten beds for travellers in not less than two separate bedrooms.

  3. To provide a shed sufficiently weather-tight, and fit for the accommodation of at least seven horses.

The remaining conditions, Nos. 4 and following, the same as William Stranks’.

WILSON, HENRY, River Waitangi.
"Wilson’s Waitangi Accommodation House."

  1. Same as William Stranks’.

  2. Not less than eight beds for travellers in not less than four separate bed-rooms.

  3. To provide a shed sufficiently weather-tight, and fit for the accommodation of at least six horses.

4, 5, 6, 7, same as in William Stranks’.

  1. To keep a lamp burning with two burners from sunset to sunrise, giving a sufficiently bright light, and being so placed as not to be visible from the south bank of the river Waitangi.

10, 11, 12. Same as William Stranks’.

  1. To keep at all times a safe ferry-boat (punt) in good working order, and ready for conveyance of passengers across the Waitangi at all reasonable times between the hours of sunrise and sunset. The licensees shall at all reasonable times cross passengers, stock, and other goods, at the following prices:

Merchandise, per ton ...... 20 0
Wool, per bale ................ 2 0

Officers of the Supreme Court, magistrates, and police constables on duty and prisoners to be ferried free of charge.
