  • DECLARATION.—I, Bayley Pike, of Waitangi, do hereby solemnly declare that the sheep, 4300 in number, now being depastured by me on the south bank of the Waitangi, in the Otago Province, have not within three months last past had applied to any of them any reputed scab-destroying preparation, nor been mixed with any sheep infected with scab or catarrh; and I make this solemn declaration, conscientiously believing the same to be true.

BAYLEY PIKE.

Declared before me, on the Waitangi, this 8th day of May, 1862.

CERTIFICATE OF INSPECTOR.—I, Philip Baker Boulton, Inspector of Sheep, hereby certify that I have carefully examined 4300 sheep, the property of Bayley Pike, now being depastured on the south bank of the Waitangi, and that I find such sheep entirely free from scab or catarrh.

Given under my hand, at Waitangi, this 8th day of May, 1862.

† DECLARATION.—I, Robert Ross, of Christchurch, do hereby solemnly declare that the sheep, branded T, being 2300 in number, now being at the Hurunui, have not within six months been subjected to any dressing for the cure of the scab, nor within three months been mixed with any sheep infected with scab or catarrh; and I make this solemn declaration, conscientiously believing the same to be true.

ROBT. ROSS.

Declared before me, at Hurunui, this 12th day of May, 1862.

‡ DECLARATION.—I, Charles Hurst, of Valetta, do hereby solemnly declare that my sheep, branded }[, being 1500 in number, now being at Valetta, have not within two months been subjected to any dressing for the cure of the scab, nor within two months been mixed with any sheep infected with scab or catarrh; and I make this solemn declaration, conscientiously believing the same to be true.

CHARLES HURST.

Declared before me, at Valetta, this 13th day of May, 1862.

CERTIFICATE OF INSPECTOR.—I, Philip Baker Boulton, Inspector of Sheep, hereby certify that I have carefully examined 1500 sheep, the property of Charles Hurst, now being depastured at Valetta, and that I find such sheep entirely free from scab or catarrh.

Given under my hand, at Valetta, this 13th day of May, 1862.

§ DECLARATION.—I, George Fyffe, of the Kaikoras, Marlborough, do hereby solemnly declare that my sheep, branded MF, being 3250 in number, now being at the Hurunui, have not within three months been subjected to any dressing for the cure of the scab, nor within three months been mixed with any sheep infected with scab or catarrh; and I make this solemn declaration, conscientiously believing the same to be true.

GEORGE FYFFE.

Declared before me, at Hurunui, this 15th day of May, 1862.

¶ DECLARATION.—I, William Moffatt, of Montrose Station, Amuri District, do hereby solemnly declare that my sheep, being 1990 in number, now being at the Hurunui, have not within three months been subjected to any dressing for the cure of the scab, nor within three months been mixed with any sheep infected with the scab or catarrh; and I make this solemn declaration, conscientiously believing the same to be true.

WILLIAM J. MOFFATT.

Declared before me, at Hurunui, this 16th day of May, 1862.

  • DECLARATION.—I, Henry Cox, of Tarndale, Nelson Province, do hereby solemnly declare that my sheep, branded Y, being 7500 in number, now being at the Hurunui, have not within three months been subjected to any dressing for the cure of the scab, nor within three months been mixed with any sheep infected with the scab or catarrh; and I make this solemn declaration, conscientiously believing the same to be true.

HENRY COX.

Declared before me, at Hastie’s, this 16th day of May, 1862.

** DECLARATION.—I, Pierce Power, of Otago, do hereby solemnly declare that the sheep, 7500 in number, branded L, now being depastured by me on the Hurunui, in the Nelson Province, have not within three months last past had applied to any of them any reputed scab-destroying preparation, nor been mixed with any sheep infected with scab or catarrh; and I make this solemn declaration, conscientiously believing the same to be true.

PIERCE POWER.

Declared before me, at Hastie’s, this 24th day of May, 1862.
