- Not less than 15 beds for travellers,
in not less than six separate bed-
rooms. - A shed weather-tight, to accommodate
ten horses.
4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, 16 as
Weeden's. - To keep a lamp burning with two
burners from sunset to sunrise, giving
a sufficiently bright light and being so
lighted as not to be visible on the
South bank of the the Ashburton. - If required, to accompany foot passen-
gers and horsemen across the river at
a charge not exceeding one shilling
for a foot passenger and not exceeding
sixpence each for horsemen, and per-
sons driving drays or other vehicles
at a charge not exceeding one
shilling for each dray or vehicle.
Officers of Supreme Court, magis-
trates and police constables on
duty, and prisoners to be put across
the river free of charge. To afford
every assistance in his power in
directing strangers to a safe fording. - If the improvements required in
order to fulfil conditions Nos. 1,
2, 3, 6, 7 shall not be all completed
within three months from this date
this licence shall then stand void and
of none effect.
REDFERN, SALATHIEL, Oxford, "Red-
fern's Accommodation House."
- All the premises to be kept in good
repair. To provide in his house,
beside the tap-room or room answer-
ing as such, one public and one
private sitting-room. - Not less than twelve beds for travel-
lers in not less than six separate bed-
rooms. - To provide a shed sufficiently weather-
tight and fit for the accommodation
of at least six horses.

the Saltwater Creek.

repair. To provide in his house,
beside the tap-room or room answer-

To provide a shed sufficiently weather-
tight, and fit for the accommodation
of at least seven horses.

and sufficient moveable sheep-proof
enclosure, capable of holding not less
than 500 sheep; or at the option of the

boat in good working order and
ready for conveyance of passengers
across the Saltwater Creek, between
the hours of 8 a.m. and 6 p.m in
summer and winter. The fare for

fares to be doubled at all other
times. Officers of the Supreme
Court, magistrates and police con-
stables on duty and prisoners to be
ferried free of charge. To afford
every assistance in his power in

LEGGETT, JOHN, Accommodation House,
Brown's Bridge, Saltwater Creek.
- All the premises to be kept in good
repair. To provide in his house,
beside the tap-room, or room an-
swering as such, one public and one
private sitting-room. - Not less than eight beds for travellers,
in not less than four separate bed-
rooms. - To provide a shed sufficiently weather-
tight and fit for the accommodation
of at least six horses.

and sufficient stockyard for yoking
up cattle. - To provide and keep in repair a good
and sufficient moveable sheep-proof
enclosure, capable of holding not

option of the licensee, to keep one

sheep-proof fence. - This licence to have no effect what-
soever until the Sub-Inspector of
Police at Kaiapoi shall have en-
dorsed upon it that the premises are
all completed, and that the conditions
can all be fully complied with by
the licensee.

repair. To provide in his house,
beside the tap-room, or room answer-
ing thereto, one public and one
