  1. The licence to be cancelled if any of the conditions of the licence be not fulfilled regularly, or if any drunkenness be proved to have been allowed on the premises, or if any spirits shall be supplied from the house or premises to any aboriginal native of New Zealand.
  2. A printed or fairly written copy of the conditions to be kept at all times posted up in some conspicuous place, in the tap room, in the public and in the private sitting room, for the information of travellers.
  3. A tariff of charges to be kept posted up in like manner.

SHAKSPERE, EDMUND, the Halswell River.

  1. All the premises to be kept in good repair. To provide in his house, besides the taproom or room answering as such, one public sitting room.
  2. Not less than four beds for travellers, in not less than two separate bed rooms.
  3. Weather tight sheds for at least two horses.
  4. To provide and keep in good repair a good and sufficient stockyard for yoking up cattle.
  5. Nil.
  6. Nil.
  7. Nil.

  8. If all the required accommodation be not properly provided within six months from this date, the licence to stand void.

BUCHANAN, JOHN JAUNCEY, \"Clarence Accommodation House,\" the Coal-pit road.

  1. All the premises to be kept in good repair. To provide in his house, besides the tap-room or room answering as such, one private sitting room.
  2. Not less than six beds for travellers, in not less than three separate bed rooms.
  3. To provide a shed sufficiently weather tight for at least four horses.

GIGGS, GEORGE HENRY, River Selwyn, \"The Selwyn Hotel.\"

  1. All the premises to be kept in good repair. To provide in his house, beside the tap-room or room answering as such, one public and two private sitting rooms.
  2. Not less than 25 beds for travellers, in not less than 15 separate bed rooms.
  3. A shed sufficiently weather tight for at least eight horses.

WHITE, CHARLES, The Waimakariri, \"White\'s Accommodation House.\"

  1. All the premises to be kept in good repair. To provide in his house, beside the tap-room or room answering as such, one public and one private sitting-room.
  2. Not less than ten beds for travellers in not less than four separate bedrooms.
  3. To provide a shed sufficiently weather-tight, fit for accommodation of at least six horses.

    4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, as in Weeden\'s.

NEWTON, ROBERT, and VINCENT, WILLIAM. The Rakaia. \"Dunford\'s Accommodation House.\"

  1. All the premises to be kept in good repair. To provide in his house, besides the tap-room or room answering as such, one public and two private sitting-rooms. Also, to provide a separate room and special and proper accommodation for female travellers.
  2. Not less than twenty beds for travellers, in not less than twelve separate bedrooms.
  3. To provide a shed sufficiently weather-tight and fit for the accommodation of at least 20 horses.
  4. Nil.
  5. Not to keep a lamp burning at night outside the house.
    4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, 16 as Weeden\'s.
  6. Conditions regarding the Ferry over the Rakaia to stand as per special contract with the Provincial Government, dated 19th July, 1860, and especially the licensees shall keep a ferry-boat or boats to be used upon the river Rakaia, the gear and all necessary fittings to render the same serviceable to be always maintained in good order and repair. The licensees shall, at all reasonable times and hours, cross passengers, stock, and other goods at the prices named below:
    Pedestrians, each...... 1s. 0d.
    Horsemen................ 2 6
    Drays and other vehicles 5 0
    Merchandise, per ton ..10 0
    Wool, per bale.......... 1 0
    Officers of the Supreme Court, magistrates, and police constables on duty, and prisoners to be ferried free of charge. The licensees to afford every assistance in their power in directing strangers to a safe fording across the river.

TURTON, WILLIAM, the \"Ashburton Accommodation House.\"

  1. All the premises to be kept in good repair. To provide in his house, beside the tap-room or room answering as such, one public and two private sitting rooms.
