- DECLARATION.—I, James Meldrum, of Balmoral, do hereby solemnly declare that the sheep, 3,500 in number, marked ML (conjoined) 3, now being depastured by me on the North Bank of Hurunui, have not within three months last past been subjected to any dressing for the cure of scab, nor been mixed with any sheep infected with scab or catarrh, and I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true.

Declared before me at Hastie\'s, this 7th day of March, 1861.

CERTIFICATE OF INSPECTOR.—I, Philip Baker Boulton, Inspector of Sheep, hereby certify that I have carefully examined 3,500 sheep, branded ML (conjoined) 3, the property of James Meldrum, now being depastured on the North Bank of the Hurunui, and that I find such sheep to be entirely free from scab or catarrh.
Given under my hand at Hastie\'s, this 7th day of March, 1861.

† DECLARATION.—I, James Dupré Lance, of Heathstock, do hereby solemnly declare that I have made a complete muster of my Heathstock flock, and that my sheep, branded Spur, being 12,000 in number, now being at Horsley Down, have not within two months been subjected to any dressing for the cure of scab, nor within two months been mixed with any sheep infected with the scab or catarrh, and I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true.

‡ DECLARATION.—I, Charles Hurst, of Valetta, do hereby solemnly declare that I have made a complete muster of all the sheep in my charge, and that my sheep, branded )—(, being 3,800 in number, now being at Valetta, have not within three months been subjected to any dressing for the cure of scab, nor within three months been mixed with any sheep infected with scab or catarrh, and I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true.
