the south by the continuation of the
road dividing sections 1902 and 1947,
and on the east by a line parallel to the
western boundary, so as to include the
above quantity, and numbered 2893.

Twenty acres at Harewood Forest, bounded
on the north-west by section 1956, on
the north-east by a road, on the south-
east by section 2090, and on the south-
west by section 1561, and numbered
2405.

Seventy acres on the south bank of the Ashley, bounded on the east by the north
road, a distance of 23 chains, and ex-
tending back westerly 40 chains, the
boundary on the north being the reserve
of one chain wide along the Ashley, sub-
ject to the railway reserve across it, and
numbered 2459.

The whole of such land, or such part thereof
as the Waste Lands Board shall adjudge, to
be granted to Harry Kenrick, by way of pay-
ment for work done in accordance with a con-
tract approved by me the 20th day of De-
cember last past, for the construction of a
road at Harewood Forest.

NOTICE is hereby given that the sections
of land specified below will be sub-
mitted to public auction, at the sitting of the
Waste Lands Board, to be held at the Land
Office, Christchurch, on MONDAY, the 7th
day of May, 1860, at the hour of noon, sub-
ject to the usual conditions of sale, and in
conformity with the regulations for the dis-
posal, sale, letting, and occupation of Waste
Lands of the Crown now in force within the
province.

NEW POWDER MAGAZINE.

THE Provincial Government are prepared
to receive tenders for Excavating the
site for a Powder Magazine at Pothills Bay,
according to a specification which may be
seen at the office of Public Works, Christchurch.

Tenders to be sent in not later than noon
on SATURDAY, APRIL 28, to the office
of the Provincial Secretary, at Christchurch,
endorsed “Tenders for Powder Magazine.”
The Provincial Government will not be
bound to accept the lowest or any tender.
