RECEIVED ON OCTOBER 22, 1860, FROM HIS HONOR

1st November P. B. Luxmoore Burke’s 2,500 1,000 Clean Introduced into the Province from Otago without inspection.
1st November McMurdo and Hodgkinson Benmore 7,000 1,500 Clean
2nd November McMurdo and Hodgkinson Benmore 7,000 5,000 Clean
4th November Hugh Fraser Bendon 2,000 1,200 Clean Some of John Frazer’s sheep have been mixed with this flock.
5th November W. H. Ostler The Wolds 2,000 2,000 Clean
6th November John Hay Tekapo 1,500 800 Clean A few of Frazer’s sheep had been in this flock.
7th November C. Newton Richmond 1,400 1,200 Clean
8th November Kennaway and Delamain Burke’s Pass 3,000 2,000 Clean 25 of Frazer’s sheep had been in this flock six months.

*The reason of this flock breaking out with scab no doubt arises from inefficient dipping, several of the sheep having patches of hard dry scab upon them, which has only been checked for a time by the dressing. Disease was first noticed in the flock about the middle of July.
