IT is hereby notified for general information that the Ferry Reserve on the North Bank of the River Rakaia has been leased to Messrs. Robert Newton and William Vincent, for a term of three years from this date, and a conditional licence, under the provisions of the "Public House Ordinance," for the premises known as Dunford’s Accommodation House, has been issued to the above named persons.

Messrs. Newton and Vincent have also been sworn in to act as special constables.

NOTICE is hereby given that the sections of land specified below will be submitted to public auction at the sitting of the Waste Lands Board, to be held at the Land Office, Christchurch, on Thursday, the 7th day of September, 1860, at the hour of noon, subject to the usual conditions of sale, and in conformity with the regulations for the disposal, sale, letting, and occupation of the Waste Lands of the Crown now in force within the said Province.
