Sale of Town and Rural Lands.
Provincial Secretary\'s Office,
Christchurch, 15th June, 1857.
NOTICE is Hereby Given, that the
several sections of Land specified
in the subjoined list will be submitted
to public auction at the sitting of the
Waste Lands\' Board, to be held at the
Land Office, Christchurch, on Thursday,
the 23rd day of July, 1857, at the hour
of noon, subject to the usual conditions
of sale, and in conformity with the
Regulations for the disposal, sale, let-
ting, and occupation of the Waste
Lands of the Crown now in force
within the said Province.

travellers. To keep stockyards in
sufficient repair. To provide such
postal facilities as the Provincial
Government may require.

Conditions :—To provide three bed-
rooms and six beds. To provide
a stock-yard and sheep-yard. To
keep a ferry-boat for foot passen-
gers, and ferry them over the Salt-
water Creek, between the hours of
8 a.m. and 6 p.m. at one penny
each, and double fares at all other
times.
John Pawson...Head of Akaroa Harbour.
Conditions :—Ferry boat to be kept
in good working order, and ready
for conveyance of passengers be-
tween the town of Akaroa and the
head of the harbour, between 7
a.m. and 5 p.m. from October to
March, and between 8 a.m. and 4
p.m. from April to September. The
charge for passage to be five shil-
lings for one passenger, or two
shillings and sixpence per head if
more than one. License to be can-
celled in case of drunkenness or
disorderly conduct, or of supplying
spirits to Natives.
