HIS Honor the Superintendent directs the following notification to be published for general information :β€”

RICHARD PACKER,
Provincial Secretary.

I, JAMES EDWARD FITZ GERALD, Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, in virtue of the powers vested in me by the 43rd clause of the Waste Lands' Regulations now in force within the said Province, do hereby reserve from sale until the sixth day of February next, the portions of land hereinafter described, that is to say,β€”

Twenty acres, situate in Okain's Bay, Banks' Peninsula, bounded on the south-east in part by rural section 343, and on the north-east in part by the school reserve; the section to be as nearly square as the regulations will permit.

The whole of such land, or such part thereof as the Waste Lands' Board shall adjudge, to be granted to William Gilbert, by way of payment for work done in accordance with a contract this day approved by me for the construction of a portion of the Okain's Bay Road.

Twenty acres, situate in Okain's Bay, Banks' Peninsula, fronting on the road running along the south-east side of rural section 343, bounded on the south by Mr. Thacker's section, and with as large frontage as the regulations will allow.

The whole of such land or such part thereof as the Waste Lands' Board shall adjudge, to be granted to John Edward Thacker, by way of payment for work done in accordance with a contract this day approved by me for the construction of a portion of the Okain's Bay Road.
