The whole of such land, or such portion thereof as the Waste Lands' Board shall adjudge, to be granted to Jacob Waeckerle, by way of payment for work done in accordance with a contract this day approved by me for the construction of bridges in Akaroa.

I, JAMES EDWARD FITZ GERALD, Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, do hereby, upon the recommendation of the Provincial Council, make the following reserves for Abattoirs:

Five acres, more or less, situate near Riccarton, in the Christchurch District, situate on a small stream or water-course, about one quarter of a mile South of the road leading from the Harewood road by Riccarton towards "Prebble's" and the "Springs" runs, on the south-western boundary of rural section No. 275, and numbered 106 in red on the Chief Surveyor's map of the Christchurch District.

Five acres, more or less, situate in the Christchurch District, about half a mile from the River Avon, at the south-eastern corner of rural section No. 273, being in the vicinity of a water-hole at the edge of the Sand-hills, and numbered 107 in red, on the Chief Surveyor's said map.
