IT is hereby notified that the Offices of the Provincial Government will be closed on Friday, the 17th instant, being S. Patrick’s Day.

PROCLAMATION.
By His Honour Sir GEORGE GREY,
Knight Commander of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath,
Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.
IN pursuance of the fifth section of “The Auctioneers’ Licensing Act, 1873, Amendment Act, 1874,” I hereby notify that the District hereunder described and known as the Toka Toka District, shall from and after the date of publication hereof be and become subject to the provisions of the said Act.
Given under my hand and the Public Seal of the said Province, at Auckland, this 6th day of March, 1876.

TOKA TOKA DISTRICT.
This District is bounded towards the east by the western boundaries of the Whangarei, Mangapai, Waipu, and Matakohe Districts, and by the Wairoa river; towards the south by the entrance of the Kaipara harbour; towards the south-west by the sea; and towards the north by the southern boundary of the Waimate District as proclaimed by Order in Council in General Government Gazette for 1875, page 381.
PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

UNDER and in pursuance of the powers vested in me by the fourth clause of “The Auckland Municipal Police Act, 1866,” I do hereby appoint The Wangarei District Board and their successors in office to be the “Local Authority” referred to in the said Act for the Town of Whangarei.
Given under my hand, at Auckland, this first day of March, 1876.
