The aortic valves had warty vegetations, and were highly inflamed. Heart weighed 12ozs. Lungs congested, and liver weighed 5¼lbs. |

Found heart enlarged, and a large thoracic aneurism pressing upon the 4th and 5th dorsal vertebrae, the bodies of which were eroded, the sac oval in shape, and consisted of layers of fibrin of considerable thickness in front, in the centre was a quantity of recently converted fibrin. Stomach inflamed. Liver large and nutmeg. |
