PROCLAMATION.
By His Honour Sir George Grey,
Knight Commander of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath,
Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.
UNDER and in pursuance of the powers in me vested by "The Slaughter House Act, 1866," I do hereby constitute and define all that area of land comprised within a radius of one mile from the site of the present Slaughter House to be, and be called, the Kawakawa Slaughter House District under the said Act.
Given under my hand and the Public Seal of the Province, at Auckland, this 4th day of February, 1876.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
By His Honour Sir George Grey,
Knight Commander of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath,
Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.
UNDER and in pursuance of the powers in me vested by the seventh section of "The Highways Act, 1874," I do hereby notify that, from and after the date hereof, all that portion of the Province of Auckland hereunder described shall be a District under the said Act, and that such District shall be known by the name of
The Katikati Highway District,
commencing at Ngakuriawhare, the seaward termination of the Tauranga confiscation boundary line; bounded towards the east by highwater mark of the sea to the Katikati entrance, thence by the Katikati entrance aforesaid and highwater mark of Tauranga harbour to the mouth of the Aongatete river; towards the south-east by the centre of the Aongatete river aforesaid and the centre of the Kamitutaki river to the source of the lastnamed river, and thence by a right line bearing in a south-westerly direction to the confiscation boundary line; towards the west by the confiscation boundary line aforesaid to the summit of the Aroha mountain, and towards the north-west by the Tauranga confiscation line aforesaid, from the summit of the Aroha mountain aforesaid to Ngakuriawhare firstmentioned, the place of commencement, exclusive of all townships within the aforementioned boundaries.

Commencing at Stony creek, at the south-western angle of the Whakapakaru block; bounded towards the north by part of the southern boundary of Auckland...
