THE KIRIKIRIROA HIGHWAY DISTRICT.

Amended Boundaries.

Bounded towards the north-east by the Waikato confiscation boundary line from the place of its intersection by the Mangawara river to a right line being the production in a north-easterly direction of the south-eastern boundary of allotment No. 274 of the Parish of Kirikiriroa; towards the south-east by the right line aforesaid, by the south-eastern boundary of allotment No. 274 of the Parish of Kirikiriroa aforesaid, the crossing of a road 100 links wide, and the south-eastern boundary of allotment No. 273, also of the Parish of Kirikiriroa aforesaid to the Tamahere river, and thence by that river to the Waikato river; towards the south-west by the Waikato river aforesaid to its confluence with the Mangawara river aforesaid; and towards the north-west by the Mangawara river aforesaid to the place of its intersection of the Waikato confiscation boundary line first mentioned, the place of commencement.

Exclusive of so much of the lands and roads or streets as are comprised within the boundaries of the Hamilton East Township Highway District.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

By His Honour SIR GEORGE GREY, Knight Commander of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

UNDER and in pursuance of the powers in me vested by section 81 of "The Highways Act, 1874," I do hereby appoint the undermentioned persons to be AUDITORS of the Highway Districts set opposite their respective names, for the current highway year :-

MONGONUI TOWNSHIP:--Robert Wyles, and Henry Grover.

RUARANGI:--Thomas Hunter, and John Solon.

TE PUNA:--David H. M. Bill, and William Charles Stewart.

WHAREORA:--M. H. Hutchinson, and H. Falls.

WAITAKEREI SOUTH:--Philip Crowe, and William Stockwell.

Given under my hand at Wellington, in the Province of Wellington, this 8th day of September, 1876.

UNDER and in pursuance of the powers in me vested by section 72 of "The Highways Act, 1874," I do hereby appoint the undermentioned persons to be the DISTRICT BOARDS of the several Highway Districts under the said Act respectively set opposite their names for the current highway year, namely :-

MONGONUI TOWNSHIP:--Robert Morrow Houston, Henry Littleproud, John McIntosh, George Wrathall, and Stephen Wrathall.

RUARANGI:--William Fraser, William Bullions, Hendry Symonds, Thomas Weir, and Jones Rountree.

TE PUNA:--J. S. Broadbent, R. C. Fraser, W. G. Armstrong, William Jordan, and Frank Lake.

WHAREORA:--Finlayson Smith, John Mackinnon, John Donaldson, J. P. Richardson, and James Whitelaw.

WAITAKEREI SOUTH:--William Foot, Henry Collins, Edward Lovett, Charles Petterson, and Humphrey Sharp.

LICENSE UNDER "THE TIMBER FLOATING ACT, 1873."

From His Honour SIR GEORGE GREY, Knight Commander of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland;

To Mr. THOMAS WELLS, of Mercer, in the said Province, Settler :

BY virtue of the powers in me vested by "The Timber Floating Act, 1873," and the requirements of the said Act having been duly complied with, I do hereby license you, THOMAS WELLS, to use the Maungatawhiri River and its Tributaries within the said Province, for the purposes intended to be provided by the said Act.

Given under my hand, at Wellington, in the Province of Wellington, this 1st day of September, 1876.

IT is hereby notified that the Tolls and Fees for the Six calendar months, commencing on the 1st October, 1876, enumerated in the Schedule hereunder, will be offered for sale by public auction, at the Mart of Messrs. B. Tonks and Co., Queen-street, Auckland, on Friday, the 29th instant, at 12 o’clock, noon.

  1. The Fees leviable at the Public Slaughter-house, Newmarket.
  2. The Tolls leviable at the Tamaki Bridge, Panmure.
  3. The Tolls leviable at the Toll Gate on the Great South Road, and at the Chain Bars on Secombe’s Road and Buckland’s Road.
  4. The Tolls leviable at the Otahuhu and Slippery Creek Toll Gates, Great South Road.
  5. The Tolls leviable at the Arch Hill Toll Gate, on the Great North Road.
  6. The Tolls leviable at the Mount Eden Road Toll Gate, and at the Gaol Road Chain Bar; together with the Royalty leviable for scoria ash, &c., taken from the gravel pits on the Mount Eden Reserve.
  7. The Fees chargeable for the supply of Water to the Shipping.
  8. The Fees chargeable at the Onehunga Wharf.
