PROCLAMATION.
By His Honour Sir GEORGE GREY, Knight
Commander of the Most Honourable
Order of the Bath, Superintendent
of the Province of Auckland.
BY virtue of the powers in me vested by “The
Municipal Corporations Act, 1867,” (Part I,
Section 13), I do hereby divide the Borough of
Thames under the said Act into three separate
Wards, by such names and with such boundaries
respectively as are hereby assigned to the same; that
is to say—
SOUTH WARD.
Starting at a point at junction of Hape and Kauaeranga Creeks, thence by centre of Hape Creek to
centre of Rolleston Street, thence by centre of Rolleston Street to Mary Street, thence by a line along
centre of Mary Street to Beach, thence by continuation of same line to western boundary of Municipality,
thence by the western and southern boundary of Municipality to junction of Hape and Kauaeranga
Creeks, being the starting point.
MIDDLE WARD.
Starting at a point in centre of Mary Street opposite Rolleston Street, thence along centre of Rolleston
Street to its junction with Karaka Road, thence along centre of Karaka Road to a point opposite centre of
Sandes Street, thence along eastern boundary of Municipality...
to the Waiotahi Creek, thence by centre of Waiotahi Creek to a point opposite centre of Pollen Street,
thence by centre of Pollen Street to a point opposite centre of Williamson Street, thence by a line along
the centre of Williamson Street to the Beach, thence by continuation of the same line to western boundary
of Municipality, thence by western boundary of Municipality to junction with South Ward, thence by
South Ward northern boundary line to a point in centre of Mary Street opposite Rolleston Street,
being the starting point.
NORTH WARD.
Starting at a point in centre of Pollen Street opposite centre of Williamson Street, thence along
centre of Pollen Street to Waiotahi Creek at its junction with the eastern boundary of Municipality,
thence along the eastern, northern, and western boundary of Municipality to junction with Middle
Ward, thence along the northern boundary of Middle Ward to centre of Pollen Street, opposite
Williamson Street, being the starting point.
