IT is hereby notified that the Mount Albert District Board has, with the approval of His Honour the Superintendent, appointed
John R. Stych
to be the Keeper of the Public Pound at Morningside, within the said District, in the place of James Page, resigned.
And it is hereby further notified that the Fees and Charges set forth in the Schedule annexed to the Notification published in the Provincial Government Gazette, No. 49, dated 31st October, 1870, page 412, have been authorised by His Honour the Superintendent to be taken and charged by the said Keeper.

MANUKAU HARBOUR.
NOTICE is hereby given, that the “Tranmere” Shoal at the entrance of Manukau Harbour has recently become shallower, which to a certain extent reaches across to the “Emma” bank, leaving only about (10) ten feet water in the “Fanny” channel at low tide.
Three temporary leading marks, (painted white) are now placed, in line, on South Head, bearing (from sea) N.E. by N. ½ N. magnetic, to clear the south end of “Tranmere” shoal. The depth of water recently obtained, is about (3) three fathoms at low tide. Preparations for shifting the South Head beacons to lead present course of south channel are now under way, and when completed due notice will be given.
The leading marks for the “Fanny” channel have been taken down, and will not be put up until the channel has been further examined.
