PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Superintendent’s Office,
Auckland, 5th July, 1876.

In pursuance of the sixth clause of "The Slaughterhouse Act, 1866," it is hereby notified for general information, that application has been made hereby by

Albert Dornwell, of Auckland,

for the renewal of the Private Slaughterhouse License granted to his premises, situated near the Three Kings, being part of Allotments Nos. 7 and 9, section 13.

Objections against the granting of such License must be lodged at this Office within One calendar month from the date of publication hereof.

It is hereby notified that, in accordance with section 81 of "The Highways Act, 1874," His Honour the Superintendent has appointed the undermentioned persons to be Auditors of the Highway Districts set opposite their respective names:

Pukekohe West — Robert Latimer, and A. Forbes, vice James Latimer, and John Chilman, resigned.

Whau — Henry James Bell, vice James Owen, resigned.

Waitakerei South — John Charles Quinnell, Austin, vice Asher Asher.

Upper Mauharangi — Josiah Hudson, vice W. B. Montgomery.

Arch Hill — William Cole, vice John Graham,

TENDERS in writing will be received at this Office until 12 o’clock noon, on Monday, 31st July next, for the right to Dig for and Remove Kauri Gum for a period of two years, at a premium or foregift, from the South-eastern portion of the Purua Block situate in the Whangarei District, and containing by admeasurement 5,000 acres. The highest or any Tender not necessarily accepted.

It is hereby notified that the Chairman of the Tauhoa District Board under "The Highways Act, 1874" has reported to this Office the names of the undermentioned persons appointed Collectors of Rates for that District:

Tauhoa — S. Boler, and S. M. Green, 111, Queen Street, Auckland.
