Auckland Provincial Government Gazette.

  1. The Ponsonby and or Dedwood Highway District: the limits whereof shall be the same as those defined (under the name of the Dedwood Highway District) in the Auckland Provincial Government Gazette, No. 43, dated 24th August, 1868, page 387.

  2. The Devonport Highway District: the limits whereof shall be the same as those defined (under the name of the Flagstaff Highway District) in the Auckland Provincial Government Gazette, No. 26, dated 14th July, 1866, page 183.


PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

By His Honour Sir George Grey,
Knight Commander of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath,
Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

Under and in pursuance of the powers in me vested by section 26 of "The Highways Act, 1874," I do hereby appoint Messrs. John Wilson and Mathias Asmus to be Members of the Alexandra Township District Board in the place of Messrs. H. Kirkwood and R. D. L. Duffus, resigned.

The Ponsonby and or Dedwood District Board,
The Devonport District Board,

And their Successors in Office, to be the Local Authority under the said Act for their respective Districts.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Office of the Board of Education,
Auckland, June 16th, 1876.

It is hereby notified that the Board of Education, under "The Education Act, 1872," having constituted the Districts hereinafter described to be Educational Districts under the said Act, and have appointed the times and places of meetings for the Election of District School Committees for the said Educational Districts, as hereunder set forth.

Harapepe Educational District.

Bounded towards the north by the northern boundary of the Pirongia Highway District; towards the east by the Waipa river, from the mouth of the Kaniwhaniwha river to the north-eastern angle of lot 39 of the Parish of Pirongia; towards the south by part of the northern boundary of last-named lot, and by the road forming the northern boundaries of lots 40A, 40, 41, 42A, 43, 44, 45, 46, and 47 of said parish, thence by a line from the north-western angle of last-named lot to the summit of Mount Tahuanui; and towards the west by part of the western boundary of the Pirongia Highway District.

Meeting to elect a Committee will be held at Mr. McMinn’s residence, on Saturday, the 15th day of July, 1876, at 2 p.m.

Ngahinepouri Educational District.

Bounded towards the north by the northern boundaries of lots 101, 102, 103, 104, 105, 106, 129, 130, 132, 132A, 137, and 138, all of the Parish of Tuhikaramea; towards the east by the eastern boundaries of lots 140, 142, 146, and 147 of said parish; again towards the north by the northern boundary of lot 214 of said parish; again towards the east by the eastern boundaries of lots 214, 213, 212, 211, 210, 343, 346, 347, 270, 271, 271A, 272, 273, 274, and 291, of said parish, to Heather’s creek; towards the south by Heather’s creek aforesaid, from the south-eastern angle of last-named lot to the Waipa river; and towards the west by the Waipa river, from the mouth of Heather’s creek to the north-western angle of lot 101 of the said parish of Tuhikaramea.

Meeting to elect a Committee will be held at Mr. Glasson’s residence, on Monday, the 10th day of July, 1876, at 6 p.m.


PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

By His Honour Sir George Grey,
Knight Commander of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath,
Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

In pursuance of the fifteenth section of "The Highways Act, 1874," I do hereby bring the said Act into operation within the Whangarei Township Highway District, and I do hereby appoint the First Meeting of Ratepayers to take place at the Whangarei Court House, on Wednesday, the 12th day of July proximo, at two o’clock in the afternoon, and Mr. Robert Rayburn to be Chairman of such meeting.
