PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

By His Honour Sir George Grey, Knight
Commander of the Most Honourable
Order of the Bath, Superintendent of
the Province of Auckland.

Under and in pursuance of the powers in me
vested by section 81 of "The Highways Act,
1874," I do hereby appoint

Mr. J. A. Adams

to be an Auditor for the Waikato Highway District,
in the place of Mr. E. Hamlin, resigned.

Given under my hand, at Auckland, this
twelfth day of June, 1876.

Note (a). These salaries are exclusive of
occasional payments for travelling expenses, or other
allowances from any source. Seventy-six persons are
in receipt of fees in addition to salaries. The list
includes 117 Country Postmasters.

Note (b). These salaries include all allowances from
any source whatever, except travelling expenses at the
rate of £1 per day (or actual expenses) when actually
travelling on public duty.


PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Crown Lands Office,
Auckland, 13th June, 1876.

The following Tender for the exclusive right to
dig for and remove Kauri Gum, for a period of
two years, from the Hukerenui Block, situate in the
Bay of Islands District, and containing by ad-
measurement 19,500 acres, is published for general
information.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Office of the Board of Education,
Auckland, 7th June, 1876.

In accordance with the 14th Section of "The
Education Act, 1872," it is hereby notified that
the boundaries of the following District as described in
Gazette No. 16 of 1873, have been amended by the
Board of Education as follows.

POKENO EDUCATIONAL DISTRICT.

Amended Boundaries.

Bounded towards the west by part of the western
boundary of the Maungatawhiri Highway District,
from the north-western angle of lot 38 of the Parish
of Maungatawhiri to the Waikato River; towards the
south by the Waikato River; towards the south-east
by the Maungatawhiri River, again towards the
south by the Great South Road; from the Maungatawhiri River to the Pukorokoro Road; towards the
east by the last-named road, and towards the
eastern boundary of the Pokeno Highway District; and towards
the north by the southern boundary of the Bombay
Educational District, from the northern angle of lot
102 of the Parish of Maungatawhiri aforesaid to the
north-western angle of lot 38 of said Parish the place
of commencement.
