PROCLAMATION.

By His Honour Sir GEORGE GREY, Knight Commander of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

IN pursuance of the fifth section of “The Auctioneers’ Licensing Act, 1863, Amendment Act, 1874,” I do hereby revoke the proclamation of the TOWN OF RAGLAN District under the said Act, dated the 5th April, 1876, and published in the Provincial Government Gazette of the 12th April, 1876: And I do hereby notify that the District hereunder described and known as the RAGLAN District, shall from and after the date of publication hereof be and become subject to the provisions of the said Act.

Given under my hand and the Public Seal of the said Province, at Auckland, this tenth day of June, 1876.

THE RAGLAN DISTRICT.

Bounded towards the north by the waters of the Whaingaroa Harbour from the northernmost angle of allotment No. 15 of the Parish of Karioi to the northern boundary of the Parish of Karamu, thence by said northern boundary of the Parish of Karamu aforesaid to the north-eastern angle of allotment No. 167 of said parish; towards the east by the eastern boundary of allotment No. 167 of the Parish of Karamu aforesaid and the eastern boundary of the Puketutu block to the Waitetuna river, and by the Waitetuna river aforesaid to the south-eastern angle of allotment No. 60 of the Parish of Whaingaroa; towards the south-east by the southern boundary of allotment No. 60 of the Parish of Whaingaroa aforesaid from the Waitetuna river before mentioned to the south-western angle of said allotment No. 60, thence in a westerly direction by lines being the southern boundary of the Provincial Government land to the eastern boundary of the Karioi Highway District, thence by the eastern boundary of the Karioi Highway District aforesaid to the North Head of the Aotea Harbour; and towards the west and north-west by high-water mark of the sea from the North Head of Aotea Harbour aforesaid to the northernmost angle of allotment No. 15 of Parish of Karioi first mentioned, the place of commencement.

PROCLAMATION.

By His Honour Sir GEORGE GREY, Knight Commander of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

UNDER and in pursuance of the powers vested in the Superintendent by “The Auckland Waste Lands Act, 1874,” I do hereby proclaim and declare that all that parcel of land described in the Schedule hereunder shall be open for bonâ fide occupation under the provisions of the “Homestead system” of the said Act, on and after Tuesday the eighteenth day of July, 1876.

Given under my hand and the Public Seal of the said Province, at Auckland, this twelfth day of June, 1876.

SCHEDULE.

Whangarei District.

Otonga Block, No. 1 (North-western portion), County of Bedford, 3,000 acres.

Application for the above land must be made to Mr. J. J. Wilson, Land Surveyor, Whangarei, with whom a plan of the said block has been lodged for public inspection.
