NOTICE is hereby given that the Assessment List of the above District has been finally settled. The Rate-book may be inspected, and payment of Rates made, at the house of Mr. John T. Giffney, Collector, Shannon-street, Ngaruawahia.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Assessment List for this District has been finally settled, that the Rate-book may be inspected, and the Rates paid to the undersigned at his residence, Poplar Farm, near Howick, or to the Collector, Mr. William James Mundy, Auckland.

SIR,--
I have the honor to enclose the account current with the Province of Auckland for the month of October, together with Statements of the charges made in respect of Railways.
With reference to the “Monthly Working Account” I have to state that the items “Receipts” and “Issues” represent the sums brought to charge and the disbursements made by the Treasury during the period, exclusive of advances outstanding for payment of wages, &c. Expenditure made out of such advances will be charged against the Railway when the latter are accounted for, and any liabilities outstanding will be charged in like manner when paid.
