PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Office of the Board of Education,
Auckland, 10th January, 1876.

IT is hereby notified that the Board of Education, under "The Education Act, 1872," have constituted the Districts hereinafter described to be Educational Districts under the said Act, and have appointed the times and places of meetings for the Election of District School Committees for the said Educational Districts, as hereinunder set forth.

ANDREWO EDUCATIONAL DISTRICT.

Bounded towards the north and north-east by part of the eastern boundary of lot 61 of the Parish of Papakura, the northern boundaries of lots 10 and 1 of the Parish of Wairoa, the eastern boundary of last named lot, the eastern and part of the southern boundary of lot 5 of the Parish of Hunua, the eastern and part of the southern boundary of lot 132 of last named parish; towards the south-east by the south-eastern boundaries of lots 133, 131, 136, 120, 119, and 171 of parish last named; towards the south-west by the south-western boundaries of lots 171, 34, 33, a reserve, and lot 30 of the Parish of Hunua aforesaid, by part of the southern boundary of lot 49 of the Parish of Papakura aforesaid, by the southern boundaries of lots 56 and 60 of last named parish, and by the western boundaries of lots 60, 59, and 55 of parish last named; and towards the north-west by the north-western boundaries of lots 55, 50, and 61 of the Parish of Papakura aforesaid.

The meeting to elect a School Committee will be held on Thursday, 27th January, at Mr. Goulding’s residence, at half-past six.


HAUTAPU EDUCATIONAL DISTRICT.

Bounded towards the north-west by the Tamahere river, and by the south-eastern boundary of the Parish of Kirikiriroa; towards the north-east by part of the confiscation boundary line; towards the south and west by part of the north-western boundary of the Parish of Hautapu, from the confiscation boundary line to the south-western angle of lot 181, Hautapu; again, towards the south and east by part of the southern boundary of said lot 181, by the road forming the eastern boundaries of lots 77, 74, 73, 70, and 69 by the road forming the northern boundaries of lots 50 and 51, by the road forming the western boundaries of lots 51, 52, and 47, by the road forming the northern boundaries of lots 42 and 41, and by the road forming the western boundaries of lots 42A, 42, and 41, aforesaid, and by the road forming the eastern boundaries of lots 119, and 118, all of the parish of Hautapu aforesaid, to the Waikato river, and again towards the south and south-west by the Waikato river from the south-eastern angle of lot 118 aforesaid, to the mouth of the Tamahere river.

A meeting to elect the School Committee will be held on Thursday, 27th inst., at the house of Mr. J. H. Smith, at 4 p.m.


HUNUA EDUCATIONAL DISTRICT.

Comprising all that portion of the Hunua block bounded towards the north-east by the Wairoa river from the south-eastern angle of lot 113 of the parish of Hunua, to the confluence of the Wairoa and Mangawheau rivers; towards the south-east by the south-eastern boundary of the Hunua parish from the place last named to the western-most angle of lot 199 of the parish aforesaid; towards the south-west and west by the boundary of the Opaheke Educational District from the angle last named to the south-western angle of lot 171 of the parish of Hunua aforesaid; and towards the north-west by the south-eastern boundaries of lots 171, 119, 120, 136, 131, 133, 132, 76, 109, 147, 146, 83, and 113 all of the parish of Hunua aforesaid, together with all that portion of the parish of Otau bounded towards the west by the Wairoa river from its confluence with the Waimoko river to the northern boundary of lot 10 of the parish of Otau; towards the south by the northern boundary of said lot and the southern boundary of lot 33 of the parish last named; towards the east by the eastern boundary of last named lot, and by the same produced to the south-eastern angle of lot 2 of parish aforesaid, thence by the eastern boundary of last named lot, and by the same produced to the Waimako River; and towards the north by the last named river to the Wairoa river, also including lot 127 of the parish of Opaheke.

A meeting to elect the School Committee will be held on Monday, 31st January, in the Presbyterian Church, Hunua, at 2 p.m.


MAUNGATAPERE EDUCATIONAL DISTRICT.

Comprising all those lands included within the boundaries of the Maunu Highway District.


MANGAPAI HIGHWAY DISTRICT.

The Assessment List for the year ending June 30th, 1876, has been finally settled. The Rate-book can be seen at Mr. William Harrison’s store, Mangapai. Mr. William Fraser, Mangapai, and Mr. Samuel Wells, Queen-street, Auckland, are appointed Collectors. All Rates must be paid by January 31st, or proceedings will be taken for their recovery.
