124 Auckland Provincial Government Gazette.
In pursuance of section 186, part 13 of "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1867," and section 4 of "The Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1874," the Council of the City of Auckland ordain as follows, that is to say:—
"So much of By-law Number one passed on the third day of July one thousand eight hundred and seventy-one as relates to the licensing and regulating of City, Stage, and Hackney Carriages shall apply to all City, Stage, and Hackney Carriages plying for hire within the circumference of a circle whose radius is ten miles in length from the principal Post-office in the said City."
Passed by the said Council this fifteenth day of February, Anno Domini, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-five.

IN pursuance of the powers and authority vested in the Auckland Harbour Board the following Fares for Licensed Watermen plying within the Port of Auckland shall be charged on and after the first day of February, One thousand eight hundred and seventy-five in lieu of the Fares now charged.

From Wharves on the south side of Auckland Harbour to Stokes’ Point Wharf or Flagstaff Wharf, single fare to or from ..................... 0 6

The rates of hire to be charged for one man and boat per hour shall not exceed ... 2 0

Boats plying between the wharves on the South Shore of Auckland Harbour and shipping in the stream at the usual anchorage may be detained fifteen minutes free of charge; at all other places they may be detained thirty minutes free of charge; but if boats are detained longer than the time above noted, the proportionate rates at per hour may be charged.

Between 8 p.m. and sunrise double fares may be charged.

When the Red Ball is hoisted on the Queen-street wharf, by order of the Harbour Master, one-half extra fares may be charged.
Given at Auckland under the Common Seal of the Auckland Harbour Board, the Tenth day of February, One thousand eight hundred and seventy-five.
