IT is hereby notified that the several Chairmen of the after-named District Boards, under "The Highways Act, 1874," have reported in writing to the Superintendent the names of the undermentioned persons elected (or appointed) as Fence Viewers for those Districts respectively, in accordance with the provisions of "The Fencing Act, 1855, Amendment Act, 1874," namely:
Elected by Ratepayers.
POVERTY BAY: — James Meldrum and W. Walsh.
Appointed by Board.
WHANGAPARAOA: — Edward Lawton, and William Polkinghorn.
WAITOA: — James Walker and Alexander Brenner.

IT is hereby notified that the Tolls and Fees for the Nine calendar months, commencing on the 1st January, 1876, enumerated in the Schedule hereunder, will be offered for sale by public auction, at the Mart of Messrs. B. Tonks and Co., Queen-street, Auckland, on Wednesday, the 22nd December proximo, at 12 o’clock, noon.

Schedule of Tolls and Fees:
- The Fees leviable at the Public Slaughterhouse, Newmarket.
- The Tolls leviable at the Tamaki Bridge, Panmure.
- The Tolls leviable at the Toll Gate on the Great South Road, together with the Chain Bars on Seccombe’s Road and Buckland’s Road.
- The Tolls leviable at the Otahuhu and Slippery Creek Toll Gates, Great South Road.
- The Tolls leviable at the Arch Hill Toll Gate, on the Great North Road.
- The Tolls leviable at the Mount Eden Road Toll Gate, and at the Gaol Road Chain Bar; together with the Royalty leviable for scoria ash, &c., taken from the gravel pits on the Mount Eden Reserve.
- The Fees chargeable for the supply of water to the shipping.
- The Fees chargeable at the Onehunga Wharf.
- The old Toll-house at Newmarket, containing four rooms lined throughout, with kitchen and iron water tank (to be removed by purchaser).
- The Weigh house and Weigh-bridge, complete, at Newmarket (to be removed by purchaser).

NOTICE is hereby given that the Maungakaramea Highway District Assessment List for the year ending 30th June, 1876, has been finally settled, and the Rate Book may be inspected at the residence of the Chairman. Payment of Rates may be made to the Treasurer, Mr. Miller.
