PROCLAMATION.

By His Honour Sir George Grey,
Knight Commander of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath,
Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

In exercise of the powers and authority conferred upon me by the "The Highways Act, 1874," I do hereby, with the advice and consent of my Executive Council, delegate unto

The Arai District Board,

under the said Act, all the powers vested in me by "The Registration of Brands Act, 1871," to be exercised within the said District and not elsewhere.

Given under my hand and the Public Seal of the said Province, at Auckland, this ninth day of November, 1875.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

By His Honour Sir George Grey, Knight Commander of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

Under and in pursuance of the powers in me vested by the seventh section of "The Highways Act, 1874," I do hereby notify that, from and after the date hereof, all that portion of Auckland hereunder described, shall be a district under the said Act, and that such district shall be known by the name of

The Totara Highway District.

Commencing at Stony Creek at the south-western angle of the Whakapaku block; bounded towards the north by part of the southern boundary of the Whakapaku block aforesaid to the western boundary of Williamson’s land; thence by the western, southern, and eastern boundaries of Williamson’s land aforesaid, and again by part of the southern boundary of the Whakapaku block aforesaid to the Waitakau Creek and by said creek to its mouth at Peka Peka Bay (Whangaroa Harbour); towards the east by high-water mark of Whangaroa Harbour aforesaid; towards the south-east by high-water mark of the Whangaroa Harbour aforesaid to the mouth of the Iwaitaua River and thence by the south-eastern boundary of the Parish of Kohumaru at its south-eastern angle; towards the south-west by the south-western boundary of the Parish of Kohumaru aforesaid; towards the north-west by the north-western boundary of the Parish of Kohumaru aforesaid to the easternmost angle of Bergham’s claim; and towards the west by the north-eastern boundary of Bergham’s claim aforesaid to Stony Creek aforesaid, and by said creek to the south-western angle of the Whakapaku block first mentioned, the place of commencement.

Given under my hand at Auckland, this 13th day of November, 1875.
