PROCLAMATION.

By His Honour Sir George Grey, Knight Commander of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

WHEREAS, at a special meeting of the Ratepayers of the NEWTON Highway District, called in manner provided by “The Highways Act, 1874,” and held on Monday the 18th October, 1875, it was decided, by a majority of two-thirds, that “The Fencing Act, 1855,” and “The Fencing Act, 1855, Amendment Act, 1874,” should cease to be in operation in the said district; and whereas the Chairman of such meeting has forwarded to me a copy of such resolution, duly certified by him.

Now, therefore, in exercise of the power conferred upon me by “The Fencing Acts Suspension Act, 1874,” I, the said Superintendent, do hereby notify that I have approved of such resolution.

Given under my hand and the Public Seal of the said Province, at Auckland, this ninth day of November, 1875.

PROCLAMATION.

By His Honour Sir George Grey, Knight Commander of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

Under and in pursuance of the powers vested in the Superintendent by “The Auckland Waste Lands Act, 1874,” I do hereby proclaim and declare that all that parcel of first class land described in the Schedule hereunder shall be open for bona fide occupation, by settlers belonging to the Okaihau Special Settlement, under the provisions of the “Homestead System” of the said Act, on and after Wednesday, the fifteenth day of December, 1875.

Given under my hand and the Public Seal of the said Province, at Auckland, this ninth day of November, 1875.

Bay of Islands District.

OKAIHAU No. 2 Block (southern and middle portions) Parish of Okaihau, county of Hokianga, 1,500 acres

Applications for the above lands must be made to Mr. Samuel Dixon, Okaihau, with whom a plan of the said block has been lodged for public inspection.
