PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
By His Honour Sir George Grey, Knight Commander of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.
Under and in pursuance of the powers in me vested by section 81 of "The Highways Act, 1874," I do hereby appoint the undermentioned persons to be Auditors of the Highway Districts set opposite their respective names, for the ensuing Highway year, namely:
Pukekohe West:—John Chilman and James Latimer.
Kaukapakapa South:—Thomas J. Jaggar, sen., and Joseph Simcock.
Papatoitoi:—Samuel Baird and John Gordon.
Waitakerei South:—Asher Asher and John Henry Hooper.
Wharehine:—Joseph Isherwood Buckton and Edward Stanley Brookes, sen.
Mangapai:—Theophilus Peter Norris Hewlett and Alfred Wintle.
Ponsonby and Or Dedwood:—John Upton vice A. Russel, left the Province.

It is hereby notified that the Chairmen of the after-named District Boards, under "The Highways Act, 1874," have reported in writing to the Superintendent the names of the undermentioned persons duly appointed Members of those Boards respectively to supply vacancies:
Pukekohe East:—Alexander McDonald, vice John Smeede, resigned.
Tauranga:—Richard Sephton and Joseph Lawry Vercoe, vice David Lundon and S. L. Clarke, resigned.

WAIROA HIGHWAY DISTRICT.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Assessment List of the above District for the year 1875-76, has been finally settled. The Rate Book may be inspected, and payment of Rates made at the residence of the Collector, Mr. William Moore, of Otao, Wairoa, where the Rates must be paid.

NOTICE.
IN THE SUPREME COURT OF NEW ZEALAND.
NORTHERN DISTRICT.
Between John Shaw, Plaintiff, and James Holmes Hanson, Defendant.
WHEREAS by virtue of a Writ of Fi. Fa. issued herein, ordering me that of the real and personal property of the above-named James Holmes Hanson, I should cause to be made the sum of £304, together with the interest on the said sum at the rate of £8 per centum per annum, from the 23rd day of July, 1875, together with £1 13s. 6d., for the said Writ, besides Sheriff’s poundage, Officers’ fees, &c. Now I do hereby give notice that I shall cause to be sold by Public Auction by Richard Arthur at his Auction Mart, Queen-street, Auckland, on the 11th day of November, 1875, at the hour of 12 o’clock noon, unless the said sums of £304 and £1 13s. 6d. and interest be sooner paid, besides Sheriff’s poundage, Officer’s fees, &c. All the Estate, Right, Title, and Interest of the said James Holmes Hanson in and to all those pieces or parcels of Land in the Province of Auckland, containing 61 acres, more or less, being Lots 14, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, and 30, of a subdivision into lots of Allotment Number 11 of the Parish of Titirangi, in the County of Eden, in the Province of Auckland aforesaid.
And I further give notice that the Estate or Interest of the said James Holmes Hanson in respect of the above mentioned lands consists of his equity of redemption or other equitable Estate in the said lands, and that all the said lands, and all the estates and interests of the said James Holmes Hanson therein and thereto have been taken by me in execution at the suit of the said John Shaw, the Execution Creditor.
