PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
"The Education Act, 1872," and "The Education Act, 1872, Amendment Act, 1874."

NOTICE is hereby given that the undernamed persons have been appointed to Collect the Education Rates payable for the year 1875, and the arrears of the said Rates payable for the year 1874, within the Districts set opposite to their names, and to give printed Receipts for the same on my behalf.

John Piper Richardson—No. 8 District, vice John S. Rust, resigned—Comprising the Highway Districts of Whareora, Ohiwha, Parua, Manurewa, and the lands between the said Districts and the Northern boundary of the County of Marsden.
Cranley Lancelot Perry—No. 49A District—Comprising the Highway Districts of Town of Ngarnawahia and Pukakura.
PUBLIC POUND.
Auckland City Council Office.
Under the provisions of "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1867," and the several amendments thereof.
NOTICE is hereby given, that the Public Pound for the City of Auckland is now erected upon allotments 4, 4A, and 5, of Section No. 33, of the City of Auckland, Abercrombie Street; and the same is hereby appointed the Public Pound for the City of Auckland: And that William Cornfoot Cooke has been appointed Poundkeeper of the said Public Pound for the said City: And that the Fees and Charges in the Schedule hereto may be taken and charged by the said Poundkeeper.

Fees to be Charged by Poundkeeper.
I.—Poundage Fees.

The above Fees to be paid for each day or part of a day during which the animal is kept in pound.
II.—Charges for Food.

The above Charges to be paid for each day or part of a day during which the animal is supplied with food and water by the Poundkeeper, but the owner may supply food and water, in which case these Charges are not to be made.
III.—Charges for giving Notice of Impounding.
The Charges for giving Notice of the Impounding of Cattle to the owner thereof, or his agent, shall be computed at the rate of one shilling for every mile or part of a mile of the distance between the public pound and the usual place of residence of such owner or agent, as the case may be.
IV.—Charges for giving Public Notice under the 20th Section of the said Act of the Impounding of Cattle.

His Honour the Superintendent directs it to be notified that he has approved of the several matters in the foregoing Notice, and the Fees and Charges set forth in the Schedule thereto, to be taken and charged by the Poundkeeper for the City of Auckland, in respect of the Public Pound for the said City.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Assessment List for the year 1875-76 for the above District has been finally settled. The Rate Book may be inspected at the school house, where payment of Rates must be made to the collector.
