PROCLAMATION.
By His Honour Sir George Grey, Knight,
Commander of the Most Honourable
Order of the Bath, Superintendent of
the Province of Auckland.
UNDER and in pursuance of the powers in me
vested by "The Slaughter-house Act, 1866," I
do hereby revoke the limits of the Slaughter-house
District constituted, under the name of the Town
of SHORTLAND, by proclamation dated the third day
of March, 1865, and published in the Provincial
Government Gazette dated the sixth day of March
1868: and I do hereby constitute the lands de-
scribed in the Schedule hereto to be and be
called the THAMES Slaughter-house District under the
said Act.

Seal of the said Province, at
Wellington, in the Province of
Wellington, this sixteenth day of
August, 1875.

SCHEDULE.
All those lands situate at the Thames Goldfield in
the Province of Auckland; Bounded towards the
north-west by the Karaka Creek from the Hauraki
Gulf to the north-eastern boundary of Shortland
Township Reserve; towards the north-east by the
north-eastern boundary of Shortland Township
Reserve to the Hape Creek; thence by the northern
and eastern boundary of the Parawai Highway
District to the Kauaeranga River; thence by the
Kauaeranga River and the Hauraki Gulf to the
mouth of the Karaka Creek, the point of commence-
ment.
PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
By His Honour Sir George Grey, Knight,
Commander of the Most Honourable
Order of the Bath, Superintendent of
the Province of Auckland.
UNDER and in pursuance of the powers in me
vested by the seventh Section of "The High-
ways Act, 1874," I do hereby notify that, from and
after the date hereof, all that portion of the Province
of Auckland hereunder described shall be a District
under the said Act, and that such District shall be
known by the name of
THE TAOTAOROA HIGHWAY DISTRICT.
Comprising all that portion of land comprised within
the boundaries of the block known as Te Hinuera No.
2 block, and being bounded towards the north-east by
Te Pae o tu Rawaru, Te Tapui, Te Puketutu blocks,
and Te Hinuera block No. 3 to the Waikato River;
towards the south by the Waikato River; towards
the west by the Waikato confiscation boundary line;
and towards the north-west by the Maunganui and
Maungakawa blocks.
Given under my hand at Wellington, in
the Province of Wellington, this
seventeenth day of August, 1875.
