HAURAKI GOLD MINING DISTRICT.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

IT is hereby notified that re-entry has been made by the Lessor upon the ground demised by the Leases hereunder named, and the Lessees’ estate therein respectively determined, and that the land therein mentioned will be open for occupation under sections 109, 110, 111, and 112 of "The Gold Mining Districts Act, 1873."

The Puketutu Gold Mining Company, Registered (assigned to "Oriana Gold Mining Company, Registered"); 15 years’ lease of 13A. 2R. 23P., 39 men’s ground, adjoining the "Pride of Tokatea" Claim. Lease dated 19th October, 1871, No. 338.

The Conquering Hero Gold Mining Company, Registered; 15 years’ lease of 11A. 0R. 12P., 33 men’s ground, adjoining ground formerly known as the "Golden Run" Claim. Lease dated 6th December, 1871; assigned to Joseph Bennett 23rd September, 1873; No. 346.

Thomas Moore and James McGimesy (assigned to "Moore’s Gold Mining Company, Registered"); 15 years’ lease of 16A. 0R. 0P., 47 men’s ground, situated at Court House Creek, adjoining ground formerly known as the "Leopold," "Waterloo," and "Provincial" Claims. Lease dated 15th January, 1872, No. 378.

The Von Tempsky Gold Mining Company, Registered; 15 years’ lease of 11A. 2R. 9P., 34 men’s ground, granted to Walter Williamson, and adjoining the "Conquering Hero" and "Kapanga" Claims. Lease dated 15th January, 1872, No. 401.

COROMANDEL.

The Nil Desperandum Gold Mining Company, Registered; 15 years’ lease of 6A. 2R. 0R., 18 men’s ground, adjoining the "Working Miners" and "Golden Point" Claims. Lease dated 22nd November, 1871, No. 326.

The Peep o’ Day and Day Dawn Gold Mining Company, Registered; 15 years’ lease of 9A. 0R. 28P., 27 men’s ground, situated on Tunnel Company’s Grant, and adjoining the "Tokatea" Claim. Lease dated 22nd November, 1871, No. 337.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

By His Honour Sir George Grey, Knight Commander of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

UNDER and in pursuance of the powers in me vested by the seventh Section of "The Highways Act, 1874," I do hereby notify that, from and after the date hereof, all that portion of the Province of Auckland hereunder described shall be a District under the said Act, and that such District shall be known by the name of
