Road aforesaid to the Waiarohia River, and crossing
that river to its southern bank, thence following the
southern bank of the Waiarohia River to its mouth;
towards the East by the waters of the Whangarei
Harbour from the mouth of the Waiarohia River to
the seaward termination of the Southern boundary of
the Maungatapere Block; towards the South by the
Southern boundary of the Maungatapere Block aforesaid and a right line to the Wairua River aforesaid;
and towards the West by the Wairua River to the
point of commencement.

Given under my hand at Auckland, this
sixth day of April, 1875.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Auckland, 6th April, 1875.

I DO hereby notify that the Poverty Bay District
Board has with my approval appointed

Mr. Robert Steggall

to be Keeper of the Public Pound at Makaraka,
within the said District, in the place of Mr. Alexander Dalziell, resigned.

And I do hereby further notify that the fees and
charges set forth in the Schedule annexed to the
notification published in the Provincial Government
Gazette No. 39, dated 13th November, 1872, page
328, may be taken and charged by the said Keeper.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

By His Honour Sir George Grey, Knight Commander of the Most Honourable Order of
the Bath, Superintendent of the Province
of Auckland.

In pursuance of the eighth section of “The High-
ways Act, 1874,” I do hereby bring into operation within the

MAUNU HIGHWAY DISTRICT,

and I do hereby appoint the First Meeting of Rate-
payers to take place at Thompson’s Hotel, Wangarei,
on Tuesday, the 27th day of April instant, at three
o’clock in the afternoon, and W. Seccombe, Esq.,
J.P., to be Chairman of such Meeting.

Given under my hand at Auckland, this
sixth day of April, 1875.

ways Act, 1874,” I do hereby alter and amend the
boundaries of the Wangarei Highway District, as
hereunder set forth.

Given under my hand, at Auckland, this
sixth day of April, 1875.

THE WANGEREI HIGHWAY DISTRICT.

Amended Boundaries.

Bounded towards the north by the southern
boundary of the Kaurihohore Highway District;
towards the east by the Waitaua and Wangarei
rivers, to the Waiarohia river; towards the south by
the Waiarohia river to the Bay of Islands Road, thence
by the Bay of Islands road to the Telegraph Office,
thence along the boundary of Mr. Caffier’s field to
the creek, thence following the boundary of Dr.
Perston’s land to the Whan Whau block, and by the
southern and south-western boundaries of the Whau
Whau block aforesaid to the westernmost angle of
that block; and towards the west by the western and
part of the northern boundaries of the Whau
Whau block before mentioned, and the western
boundaries of Mair’s Grant and the Kamo block, and
by a road traversing the Te Pua Block to the Wai-
taua river.
