PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
By His Honour Sir George Grey, Knight Commander of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.
WHEREAS the Matakana West Highway District Board have transmitted to me an Order dated the 23rd February, 1875, for the making of a road through allotments Nos. 16, 17, 18, 3, 22, 23, and 24, within the said District, together with true copies of the specifications, maps, etc., for the making of the said road, and together with the written objections thereto, I do hereby, in pursuance of section 33 of "The Highway Boards Empowering Act, 1871," give notice that on Thursday, the 22nd day of April, 1875, at eleven o’clock in the forenoon, at my office at Auckland, I shall take into consideration the said Order and the objections made thereto.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
By His Honour Sir George Grey, Knight Commander of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.
UNDER and in pursuance of the powers in me vested by the seventh section of "The Highways Act, 1874," I do hereby notify that, from and after the date hereof, all that portion of the Province of Auckland hereunder described shall be a District under the said Act, and that such District shall be known by the name of
THE MAUNUI HIGHWAY DISTRICT.
Bounded towards the North by the Southern boundaries of the Ruatangata, Mitowhakatiki, and Maruarua Blocks from the Wairua River, the South-eastern angle of the last-named block, thence by a right line to the Westernmost angle of the Whau Whau Block, and continuing along the Southern boundary of the Whau Whau Block aforesaid to its South-easternmost angle, thence by the boundary of Dr. Perston’s land to the Creek, thence by the Creek to Mr. Caffin’s field, and by the boundary of Mr. Caffin’s field aforesaid to the Bay of Islands Road at the Telegraph Office, thence by the Bay of Islands...
