LICENSES to Kill and Sell Game are now issuable at the Superintendent’s Office, Auckland.

The Season for Killing Game extends over the months of May, June, and July.

Licenses to sell Game are in force until the 7th of August.

No Shilling Licenses are issued under the new Act; but any person in bona fide occupation of any land, not being Waste Lands of the Crown (or some one person appointed by him) may kill Game on such land without a License.

Every person who shall sell, offer for sale, or expose for sale, and every holder of a License to sell Game, who shall have in his possession, or shall in any manner dispose of, any dead hen pheasants, shall on conviction, forfeit and pay for every such act a sum not exceeding Twenty Pounds; and if such person hold a License to Kill or Sell Game, such License shall, on conviction, become ipso facto void.

HAURAKI GOLD MINING DISTRICT.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

IT is hereby notified that re-entry has been made by the Lessor upon the ground demised by the Lease hereunder named, and the Lessee’s estate therein determined, and that the land therein mentioned will be open for occupation under sections 109, 110, 111, and 112 of “The Gold Mining Districts Act, 1873.”

The Vale of Avoca Gold Mining Company, Registered, situated near Waiotahi creek, and bounded northerly by supposed unoccupied ground, easterly by supposed unoccupied ground, southerly by “Bee” License, westerly by “Number One” License and supposed unoccupied ground. Lease dated 4th September, 1871.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

HEREBY notify that I have appointed Henry Douglas Morpeth, Esq., J.P., to be Inspector of Lunatic Asylums for the Province of Auckland, under “The Lunatics’ Act, 1868,” in the room of H. H. Turton, Esq., J.P., resigned.

This appointment to date from the 1st instant.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Auckland, 19th March, 1874.

I DO hereby notify that the Mount Eden Highway District Board has, with my approval, appointed Mr. Charles Wiggins to be the Keeper of the Public Pound at Mount Eden, in the room of Mr. William Woolley.

And I do hereby further notify, that the Fees and Charges set forth in the Schedule annexed to the notification published in the Provincial Government Gazette, No. 20, dated 29th May, 1872, pages 160 and 161, may be taken and charged by the said Keeper.
