PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

By John Williamson, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

UNDER and in pursuance of the powers in me vested by the seventh section of "The Highways Act, 1874," I do hereby alter and amend the boundaries of the Paraparaoa Highway District under the said Act, as hereunder set forth.

Given under my hand at Wellington, in the Province of Wellington, this twenty-eighth day of August, 1874.

The Paraparaoa Highway District.

Amended Boundaries.

All those lands comprised within the boundaries of the Parish of Paparoa, including the Town and Suburbs of Pahi, and all roads traversing the before mentioned boundaries.


PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

UNDER and in pursuance of the powers in me vested by section 72 of "The Highways Act, 1874," I do hereby appoint the undermentioned persons to the District Board of the Highway District under the said Act set opposite their names for the ensuing highway year, namely—

  • Ruawai:— William McAllister; Henry Symonds; Samuel Boyd; Walker Morley; and Thomas Hunter.

Given under my hand, at Auckland, in the Province of Auckland, this third day of September, 1874.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

UNDER and in pursuance of the powers in me vested by section 81 of "The Highways Act, 1874," I do hereby appoint the undermentioned persons to be Auditors of the Highway Districts set opposite their respective names, for the ensuing highway year; namely—

  • Mangawhai:— Middlemas Kirkbride, and Daniel Lynch.
  • Ruawai:— John Solon, and William Bullins.
  • Paparoa:— William Henry Crick, vice Henry Vernon.
  • Whangarei:— C. N. Marshall, and Charles Dacre.

Given under my hand, at Auckland, in the Province of Auckland, this third day of September, 1874.

I do hereby notify that the Mount Eden District Board has, with my approval, appointed Mr. Atkinson Crocket to be Keeper of the Public Pound at Mount Eden, in the room of Mr. Charles Wiggins.

I hereby notify that the Chairmen of the after-named District Boards, under "The Highways Act, 1874," have reported in writing to the Superintendent the names of the undermentioned persons elected as Members of the said District Boards respectively for the ensuing highway year, namely—

  • Kaiwaka:— John Glasson, Chairman; Robert Glasson; James S. Hamilton; Duncan Campbell; and Alexander V. Urquhart.
  • Paparoa:— John Udy, Chairman; Charles Pye; John May; William Campbell; and Joseph Roberts.
  • Whangarei:— Henry Marrcroft, Chairman; C. D. Cray; T. Grice; E. Marcroft; and A. Steventon.
  • Albertland South:— John Shepherd, Chairman; John Beecroft, Senior; Thomas Adams Gubb; William Pettet; and Charles Pearman.
  • Tamaki:— Patrick Leslie, Chairman; William Norman Leslie; Robert Kirkwood; Henry Cushing; and Hakaruwhi Te Purewha.

  • Howick Township:— James White, Chairman; John Finlay; John McNeil; John McInerney; and Thomas McInnes.
  • Arch Hill:— James McGregor, Chairman; James Whitlock; James Crawford; William Coots; and Joseph Johnston.
  • Panmure:— John Smith, Chairman; F. R. Claude; James Wallace; John Watson; Henry Buttle.

And I do hereby further notify that the Fees and Charges set forth in the Schedule annexed to the notification published in the Provincial Government Gazette, No. 20, dated 29th May, 1872, pages 160 and 161, may be taken and charged by the said Keeper.
