PROCLAMATION.
HAURAKI GOLD MINING DISTRICT.
By Thomas Bannatyne Gillies, Esquire,
Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.
By virtue of the powers to me delegated by the Governor in Council, under his hand and the Public Seal of the Colony, under "The Gold Mining Districts Act, 1871," I do hereby exempt from occupation for mining purposes, or for machinery sites, or for business, or for residence, all that portion of land situate within the boundaries of the Thames Gold Mining District under the said Act, which is particularly described in the Schedule hereunder. Provided always that the above exemption shall not extend to any portion of the said land now lawfully occupied for mining purposes.
Given under my hand and seal at Auckland, within the said Province, this 28th day of October, One thousand eight hundred and seventy-three.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
Superintendent's Office,
Auckland, 30th October, 1873.
It is hereby notified that re-entry has been made by the Lessor upon the ground demised by the Lease hereunder named, and the Lessees' estate therein determined, and that the land therein mentioned will be open for occupation under sections 109, 110, 111, and 112 of "The Gold Mining Districts Act, 1873."

THAMES.
The Mary Ann Gold Mining Company Registered: 15 years' lease of land Bounded on the North by "Red Queen" Lease and supposed unoccupied ground, on the East by the "Waiotahi" License, on the South by the "Waiotahi" License, and on the West by "Cure" License and Red Queen Lease: Lease dated 14th August, 1871.
SCHEDULE.
All that piece of land known as Partington's Battery Site bounded towards the North by a line bearing 69°57' distance 153 links, East by a line bearing 168°33' distance 207 links, South by a line bearing 260°05' distance 127 links, and on the West by the Tararu Road, area being one quarter acre.
