102 AUCKLAND PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT GAZETTE.
PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
By Thomas Bannatyne Gillies, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.
WHEREAS the Lake District Highway Board have transmitted to me an Order for the making of a road through allotment No. 78 of the Parish of Takapuna, within the said District, together with true copies of the Specifications, Maps, Plans, Sections and Elevations, for the making of the said road; I do hereby, in pursuance of Section 33 of "The Highway Boards Empowering Act, 1871," give notice that on Wednesday, the 7th day of May, 1873, at Eleven o’clock in the forenoon, at my Office, at Auckland, I shall take into consideration the said Order, and any objections which may have been duly made thereto.
Given under my hand at Auckland, this twenty-fourth day of April, One thousand eight hundred and seventy-three.

HAURAKI GOLD MINING DISTRICT.
PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
Unicorn license, on the East by supposed unoccupied ground, on the South by the "Evening Star" license, and on the West by the "Evening Star" license, the "Golden Age" lease, and the "Union" lease; lease dated 25th September, 1871.
The Abraham Lincoln Gold Mining Company Registered (assigned to William Vickery of Shortland); 15 years’ lease of 7 acres 3 roods and 24 perches, situated on the "Lucky Hit" creek, about five chains North of the "Conqueror" lease, and bounded on all sides by supposed unoccupied ground; lease dated the 25th September, 1871.
The Coromandel Gold Mining Company Registered: 15 years’ lease of 12 acres 1 rood and 29 perches, 37 men’s ground; adjoining the "Golden Pah" lease; lease dated 16th January, 1872.
PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

IT is hereby notified that, in pursuance of Sections 9 and 10 of "The Auckland Harbour Board Act, 1871," a Meeting of the Electors duly qualified under Section 10 of the said Act, shall be held in the Hall of the Mechanics’ Institute, at Auckland, on Monday, the fifth day of May proximo, at the hour of noon, for the purpose of electing a duly qualified person as a Member of the Auckland Harbour Board, in the place of Thomas Macready.

HEREBY notify that I have appointed Mr. James Meldrum, of Gisborne, Poverty Bay, to be Inspector of Sheep and Registrar of Brands for the East Coast District, as constituted under "The Sheep Act, 1863," and "The Registration of Brands Act, 1871," respectively, in the place of Mr. George Scott.
Also to be Landing Inspector of Sheep for the Port of Turanganui, under "The Sheep Act, 1863, Amendment Act, 1871."
