PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Auckland, 3rd January, 1873.
I DO hereby notify that I have accepted the resignation by Hugh Hart Lusk, Esq., of the office of Goldfields Secretary for this Province, and that I have this day appointed John Sheehan, Esq., to be Goldfields Secretary in his stead.

PROCLAMATION.
By Thomas Bannatyne Gillies, Esquire,
Superintendent of the Province of Auckland,
BY virtue of the powers in me vested under the 11th section of “The Auckland Waste Lands Act, 1867,” I do hereby temporarily reserve as a site for Public Offices until the next Session of the Auckland Provincial Council, all that piece or parcel of land containing one rood, and being allotment No. 50 of the Township of Gisborne, Poverty Bay.
Given under my hand and the Public Seal of the said Province, at Auckland, this thirty-first day of December, One thousand eight hundred and seventy-two.

PROCLAMATION.
By Thomas Bannatyne Gillies, Esquire,
Superintendent of the Province of Auckland,
BY virtue of the powers in me vested, I do hereby proclaim and declare that I have set apart as a Gunpowder Anchorage, within the Harbour of Coromandel, all that part of the anchorage ground seaward of a line drawn N.W. magnetic from Preece’s Point, on the eastern shore of the Harbour to the opposite shore, and that no gunpowder or other explosive substance shall be landed or shipped at any wharf, pier, or landing place within the before-mentioned line, except on that part of the beach in the immediate vicinity of the Magazine, and in a line south of it.
Given under my hand and the Public Seal of the Province, at Auckland, this third day of January, in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and seventy-three.
