PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
By Thomas Bannatyne Gillies, Esquire,
Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.
WHEREAS the Board of Education under "The Education Act, 1872," has fixed a household rate of Twenty Shillings as the rate to be levied for the year 1873, I do hereby appoint
Robert Baillie Lusk, Esquire,
as the person to whom such rate shall be paid, and I do hereby fix Monday the third day of February, 1873, to be the day and the Provincial Treasury to be the place on and at which such rate shall be payable.

IT is hereby notified that the Superintendent has appointed
Sub-Inspector Robert Bullen,
to be and be called a Fire Inspector, under "The Fire Inspectors Act, 1870," of the General Assembly, for the Town of Grahamstown, within this Province, in the place and stead of Mr. James Mackie, whose appointment is hereby revoked.
