POVERTY BAY HIGHWAY BOARD.
NOTICE.
WHEREAS it is deemed expedient for the purposes of public accommodation that a permanent roadway should be made from Waerenga-ahika to Ripongaere Crossing; and whereas it is necessary that the said roadway should be taken through a portion of the Makauri Block: and whereas Part VII. of the “Highway Boards Empowering Act, 1871,” requires that a notice of forty clear days shall be given of such work being about to be undertaken,—this is to notify to all and sundry the owners, or reputed owners, lessees, or reputed lessees, and occupiers of any portions of the said Makauri Block through which the said roadway is proposed to be taken, that a SPECIFICATION and PLAN of such roadway, together with the names of those likely to be affected by the undertaking, have been deposited, and will be open for the inspection of all persons interested in the said work on and after Monday, the 11th day of November instant, at the Office of the Poverty Bay Highway Board, Court-house buildings, Gisborne. And it is hereby further notified that all persons who may have any objection to make against the said line of road as proposed must set forth the same in writing, addressed to the Chairman of the said Board, within forty (40) clear days from the 11th day of November instant.

THE under-signed, Robert Horne, hereby make application to register “The New Golden Pa Gold Mining Company, Registered,” under the provisions of “The Mining Companies Limited Liability Act, 1865,” and “The Mining Companies’ Limited Liability Act Amendment Acts, 1869 and 1870;” and I do solemnly and sincerely declare that the following statement is, to the best of my belief and knowledge, true in every particular, viz.:

The place of operations is at the Coromandel Goldfields, in the Province of Auckland, in the Colony of New Zealand.

The nominal capital of the Company is Nine thousand pounds, in Nine thousand shares of One pound each, whereof Ten shillings per share is deemed and taken to have been already paid-up.

The amount given in exchange or payment for the claim is Four thousand five hundred pounds.

The name of the Manager is Robert Horne.
