HAURAKI GOLD MINING DISTRICT.

PROCLAMATION.

By Thomas Bannatyne Gillies, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

BY virtue of the powers to me delegated by the Governor in Council, under his hand and the Public Seal of the Colony under “The Gold Mining Districts Act 1871,” I do hereby exempt from occupation for mining purposes, or for machine sites, or for business, or for residence, all those portions of land situate within the boundaries of the Hauraki Gold Mining District under the said Act, which are particularly described in the Schedule hereunder: Provided always that the above exemption shall not extend to any portion of the said lands now lawfully occupied for mining purposes.

Given under my hand and Seal, at Auckland, this tenth day of July, One thousand eight hundred and seventy-two.

SCHEDULE.

Two acres of land in Pita’s Block near the north-west corner of Ring’s Land, bounded on the north by a line 667 links, on the east by a line 300 links, on the south by a line 667 links parallel to the northern boundary of Ring’s Land and 100 links distant therefrom, and on the west by a line 300 links.

All that piece or parcel of land containing twenty acres one rood and two perches and being allotment number 32 of the Town of Buffalo in the parish of Kapanga Queen’s County, and being bounded towards the north-east by allotment number 23 of the suburbs of the Town of Buffalo aforesaid; towards the south-east by part of the south-eastern boundary of the Town of Buffalo aforesaid; towards the south-west by allotment number 31 of the Town of Buffalo aforesaid, again towards the south-east by allotment number 31 aforesaid; again towards the south-west by part of allotment number 29 and allotments numbers 28 and 27 of the Town of Buffalo aforesaid the southern side of a road one hundred links wide, thence crossing said road and by allotment number 22 part of allotment number 14 and allotments numbers 13 and 12 of the Town aforesaid and towards the north-west by the Court-house Creek road.

All that piece or parcel of land containing two acres two roods and twenty-five perches, and being allotment number 31 of the Town of Buffalo, in the parish of Kapanga, Queen’s County, and being bounded towards the north-east by allotment number 32, of the Town of Buffalo; towards the south-east by the south-eastern boundary of the Town of Buffalo; towards the south-west by a road one hundred links wide; towards the north-west by allotment number 30, of the Town of Buffalo aforesaid; again towards the south-west by allotment number 30, and part of allotment number 29 of the Town of Buffalo aforesaid; and again towards the north-west by allotment number 32 aforesaid.

All that piece or parcel of land containing five acres and three perches, and being allotment number 33, of the Town of Buffalo, in the parish of Kapanga, Queen’s County, and being bounded towards the north-east by allotment number 17 of the suburbs of the Town of Buffalo; towards the south-east by the Court-house Creek road; towards the south-west by allotments numbers 10 and 7 of the Town aforesaid, and by the abuttal of a road one hundred links wide;
