PROCLAMATION.

By Thomas Bannatyne Gillies, Esquire,
Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

UNDER and in pursuance of the powers vested in the Superintendent by an Act of the Local Legislature of the Province of Auckland, intituled

"An Act to Abate the Nuisance caused by Dogs,"
(Session I, No. 4, 1854). I do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the publication hereof, the said Act shall come into operation within the District of

PAPAROA,

as constituted under "The Highways Act, 1871."

Given under my hand and the Public Seal of the Province of Auckland, this fourth day of July, One thousand eight hundred and seventy-two.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Auckland, 5th July, 1872.

I HEREBY notify that in pursuance of the seventh section of "The Highways Act, 1871, Amendment Act, 1871," I have appointed

Mr. James Wilson, and
Mr. Samuel Brooking,

to be Auditors for the KARANGARAPE Highway District, in the place and stead of Mr. Francis Marriott and Mr. Ebenezer Fitness, respectively.

IT is hereby notified that the Mining Lease set forth in the Schedule hereunder has been surrendered, and that the land therein mentioned is open for occupation under "The Gold Mining Districts Act, 1871."

The Corinthian Gold Mining Company, Registered;
15 years’ lease of 2 acres 2 roods 34 perches,
situated on Moanataiari Creek adjoining the "Tradesman’s," "Sons of Freedom," "Flying Cloud," and "Cape of Good Hope" Claims,
Karaka block; lease dated 22nd August, 1871;
surrendered 26th June, 1872.

I HEREBY notify that in pursuance of the 20th section of "The Auckland Waste Lands Act, 1870," it is hereby notified for general information that application has been made to me by

Mr. Samuel Jno. De Carteret

for permission to construct a Dam across the Papakura River on lot 21 of the parish of Papakura, together with the necessary Water-right.
